The English speaking guides do speak English, but were difficult for many of us to understand. Although they were happy to repeat themselves and were a wealth of great information and insight!

Fantastic guides for both tours, only 6 of us for the Forum with Alfredo who couldn't have been more helpful. Larger group for the Colosseum but Anna Marie was great too.

Our guide, Rosanna, was fantastic. I wish she could have continued with us inside the Colesseum, but new policy dictates that only Colesseum guides can conduct tours inside the Colesseum. Rosanna was fantastic!

Excellent tour, have only given 4 star as despite the voucher stating that you present it at the ticket desk inside the main entrance we were still directed to the very long queue outside to get our tickets. Almost missed the tour even though we arrived an hour early as advised.

Good visit, although a little long. Our voucher said about 3 hours (I think), and it went over by about 45 minutes, which was tiring. Still, our tour guide was spectacular. It felt like visiting these sites with a teacher. She was so knowledgeable!

This tour was fantastic! We had a very knowledgable guide who gave detailed descriptions of what the colosseum would have looked like and how it was made, she gave a detailed history of the activities undertaken there as well as how the structure of the colosseum (particularly the underground component) and outer surrounds of the grounds were cleverly designed to serve the games, out of site from the public eye. The tours were planned very well so that only one group was in a certain section of the colosseum at the one time. This made the tour feel quite personal and intimate - like you were the only ones there. Having an Italian guide speak English was great, but sometimes it was hard to hear her (a combination of her strong accent, talking quickly and also in amongst a group of about 20-25 people) so you had to stand close and listen well to hear the stories. Overall though 8/10.

Really great tour!! We had a good guide but we would have loved to have had an option for a private group tour like we did for the Vatican.

We really enjoyed our visit, disappointed we could not visit the dungeons due to rain, so not sure whether the cost we paid reflected our visit due to not being able to access the dungeons.

the tour was great, worth the money but the time (3 p.m.) of day was incredibly hot and that took some joy out of climbing up and down stairs

We got rained out of the underground, a disappointment that was beyond control. I found the guide to be very informative and made up for the disappointment of the underground with is detailed descriptions of the forum. Highly recommended

Really good experience! It seemed that we were the only persons in The Colosseum! In the tour the guide told in his typical English (with Italian accent) the whole story of The Colosseum! I would advice everyone to do this tour!

This tour was fantastic! Our guide, Sara, was an art historian, and clearly had a lot of knowledge about the Colosseum. It was great to learn more about this historic site. The only problem we ran into is that it was rather unclear about how to actually get into the Colosseum. The line for visitors with reservations had merged with the line for visitors without reservations, so we ended up waiting in line much longer than we should have. I completely understand that this is not the fault of TickItaly, though it might be good to warn customers that the 45 minute window suggested may not be enough time. Thankfully we were able to make our tour on time, so it wasn't an issue for us, but there were two couples who were very late to the tour, and likely for this reason.

Fantastic tour! the only thing that would be better would be if you could go into the forum, but apart from that the tour was amazing! The guide was great and it was really good to be in the colosseum pretty much on your own. Definitely recommend to anyone

It was great. The guide was great. But without ear piece or speaker equipment, we could not hear clearly though guide was already speaking loudly. If headset are provided, it will be most ideal.
