Andrea Bocelli - live in concert at the Amphitheatre of Pompeii
An extraordinary chance to experience the operatic singing - or bel canto of the masterful tenor Andrea Bocelli in the timeless, unique setting of Pompeii's amphitheatre. The famous tenor will be accompanied by the Orchestra Reali Filarmonici (the philharmonic orchestra of Naples) and the That’s Napoli city choir, conducted by Carlo Morelli.
We are offering tickets with private transport to and from the event on the 28th June, which will commence at 9:30PM. Tickets including luxurious accommodation are also available!
The Amphitheatre - Anfiteatro degli Scavi
One of the oldest existing Roman amphitheatres, it was built in about 70BC - one of the first constructed of stone rather than wood - and was buried by the volcanic eruption of Vesuvius in 79BC. Originally designed to fit up to 20,000 visitors and famed for its gladiatorial battles, the amphitheatre has featured many more recent events, including Pink Floyd's 'Live at Pompeii' film in 1971.
A splendid, evocative setting in which to enjoy the operatic glories of Andrea Bocelli!
