A 3-day pass covering the ruins and excavations at Pompeii, free local transport, and a choice of other local historic sites to visit.
Clearly the main attraction here are the ruins of Pompeii and the Naples area, but this cumulative pass gives you three days access to a whole range of sites (two sites covered, successive visits are discounted), the excavations at Pompeii included, plus transport from Naples as well as transport between the sites.
To put that another way, transport is included at no cost, as is entry to two sites from the long list further down the page, and this includes Pompeii, but any visits you make after having visited two sites will incur a charge, albeit it at a reduction of up to 50%.
The card allows use of all public transport systems run by companies that belong to the UNICOCAMPANIA Consortium: AIR, AMTS, ANM, CLP, CSTP,CTI/ATI, CTP, EAV (ex Circumvesuviana SEPSA METROCAMPANIA NORDEST EAVBUS), METRONAPOLI, SITA SUD, and TRENITALIA.
Included with your tickets is an e-book guide to Pompeii and the surrounding area, written by two prominent Italian Art Historians and available to download as epub (for iPad and iPhone, Android, and many ebook readers), mobi (for Kindle) and PDF for pretty much everything else.
The list below covers most of the main attractions (with links through to some more detailed information), but, in total, the card covers more than 80 sites! A more or less complete list of other sites included can be seen further down the page.
The pricing policy of the relevant authorities here is very different to that of those elsewhere in Italy.
If you are aged under 18 then entrance is free and you do not need a pass - just show some proof of ID at each place. The same applies for disabled people.
If you are a EU citizen aged between 18 and 25 then the card is offered at a slightly reduced price.
No need to queue up and get tickets, just use your card at the dedicated entrance for cardholders.
Opening times are as follows:
1st April - 31st October: 9 AM to 6.00 PM.
1st November - 31st March: 9 AM to 3.30 PM.
* The card is valid for 72 hours from the time you first use it, at least as far as museums and sites are concerned. The slight oddity is that the free transport included is not valid for 72 hours, rather it is valid for the day of activation and the two days following that.
To reserve your Pompeii card, just fill out the booking form, supply us with credit card details, and we'll do the rest. There will be no charge whatsoever until we confirm your reservation. We'll then point you to our secure page, where you can print out your voucher. Print it out, bring it with you to Italy and exchange it for your card on arrival.
Your card must be collected at one of the following places:
For left-luggage, there are two facilities - in the lower level of the railway station and then at the Pompeii museum complex; pass the gates, head to the right of the ticket booths and down the ramp - to the right of the turnstiles is a small office for bag storage.
