Florence, Italy - enjoy a guided wine, oil and cheese tasting in the heart of the city

Wind down gradually and pleasantly at the end of a packed day's sightseeing and enjoy an introduction to some fine Italian wine and olive oil, accompanied by some carefully chosen local cheese.

The tastings (in a wine bar in the centre of Florence) last around one hour, start at 5.00 PM and are available Tuesday to Saturday. You'll taste some wines and oils specially selected to mirror the quality of local production, accompanied by the many delicious tastes of Tuscany.

Wines and accompaniments are likely to change with the seasons, but a typical selection would be:

• A glass of Tuscan (white), such as Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
• A glass of (red) Chianti Classico such as Colli Senesi DOCG.
• A glass of (red) in the form of a pure Sangiovese.
• Two types of Tuscan Extra Virgin olive oil.
• Assorted cheeses from goat, sheep and cow's milk.
