These reviews relate to the various tours of the Colosseum Dungeons that we offer, and have offered in the past. Until the Belvedere top levels were opened in 2017, the dungeon tours were actually provided as a combo tour of both the dungeons and upper levels, hence the references in some reviews to upper levels!

Fantastic tour of all levels with knowledgeable English speaking guide. Definitely recommend this tour rather than the general ones for the exclusive access to top tier and dungeon levels. If you are going, you are likely to only do this once and this is a very reasonably priced tour for a great experience.

Great tour. We had been to the colosseum before,but this was the first time seeing the lower levels of the colosseum. You can only get there with a guide. We thought the lower levels were very interesting and our guide was great. It was also nice to avoid the long lines.

This tour was great. I really enjoyed having exclusive access to the levels from which regular visitors are restricted. The views from the upper levels were great, and being able to see the lowest level was fascinating. Our guide was knowledgeable and answered our questions. Exchanging our vouchers for our tickets took just a few minutes and finding our way to the meeting point to start our tour within the Colosseum was no problem.

The guide was so informative and we are so glad we took this tour. Price was competitive and we were not disappointed. A highlight of our time in Rome for both adults and our teenagers.

Fantastic tour. Loved getting into the upper and lower levels as it was much more exclusive. Lower level especially interesting. Worth buying the extra ticket, Tour guide was excellent. Buying ticket beforehand meant that we did not have to wait in the 2 hour queue for tickets and simply walked up to the desk to pick our tickets up. Highly recommend booking this tour beforehand.

This was a really nice tour, especially without all the crowds, but a bit more of the actual dungeons aspect of it would have made it much better.

The tour guide was extremely good. She gave us a fantastic overview from the meeting point up to Colosseum. Then we were handed over to a guide from the Colosseum. She could have brought to life the events that took place there. She repeated dates etc but missed the human stories behind the Colosseum. We were also expecting to see more of the underground. We went downstairs and walked around it (I think that is all that is allowed.) "Underground" does not add a lot to what you see from above.

A bit more time at the Colosseum would have been nice. We didnt get a chance to look at the exhibits on the 2nd floor, just rushed through to finish. Our guide was still amazing.

We lost a lot of time when we got to the Colliseum since the staff pointed us, twice, to the wrong line. I don't understand WHY can't we receive an actual ticket with a QR code of barcode (since it is already payed) instead of a voucher. We buy online to avoid the lines, and there I was wasting 45 min for nothing and almost missing my tour.

Where do these reviews come from?
About two weeks after you have used your tickets we send an email asking you for your feedback on tickitaly.com and on the individual attractions that you visited. We ask our customers to give us and our tickets a rating out of five stars and to write a short review - all of these reviews come from people that have bought tickets from us.
Why are there more stars awarded than reviews?
Many of our customers opt to award stars rather than write a review.
Why do some reviews have a ? instead of stars?
Some reviewers opt to write a comment but don't enter a star entry. These are sometimes positive and sometimes negative - we include these reviews in the listings after the starred reviews, but we don't include them in the overall ratings.
Where is my review? I can't see anything in the list?
Each review is checked by our staff in order to avoid posting inappropriate content or personal details, and to see if the customer has had a specific problem that needs to be addressed. In most cases these reviews go online with their star rating and any comment that has been made. In the cases that there is an issue that we have to address, such as refunds or specific complaints, we flag the review for response. In those few cases, any star rating is immediately taken into account in our ratings but the actual review is only posted once we have resolved the issue or had an opportunity to respond. Any editorial comment will be clearly highlighted like this: [Tickitaly responds: .....].
Are these reviews real or have you faked them?
All of the reviews and star ratings have come from people that have purchased tickets from us. We are very proud of the service and products that we provide, but obviously we aren't perfect and sometimes things go wrong. Once we have addressed any problems that a customer has had, we will process the original review (although we reserve the right to fix minor typos like ticketitaly).
If a review contains offensive language, abuse or personal insults, we'll publish the stars but omit the text.
