Going at 9am meant we had a crowd free visit and we didn't have to queue for the tickets

Excellent!! There was a five hour line, and with our tickets we were able to by-pass the line and head straight in. I would highly recommend your service!!!

Booked our entry for 9.30 and arrived at Termini about 8.30 to catch the metro to Ottaviano, the nearest to Vatican. Having used the uncrowded metro to visit the Colosseum we were surprised at the huge 'mob' waiting to board. We obviously we're on the main commuter route at peak time. We joined the queue and my wife found the crowd pushing and shoving very intimidating. It was far worse than our experiences of train travel in Delhi! We got on the 5th train to arrive after about 15 minutes and then found it emptied more with every stop and was almost empty by Ottaviano. It is a 10 minute walk to the Vatican Museum and we arrived about 9.15. The queues were already about 100m long and did not appear to be moving. We walked past and showed our timed entry ticket and went straight in. The Vatican apparently has 7k of corridors and on a July day they were quite crowded, but not oppressively so, and hot at times. We prioritised what we wanted to see and spent 3 hours looking at the magnificent displays and architecture including the Sistine Chapel. We did not take a tour having experienced the information overload and lack of freedom in the past. There were lots of groups and I am sure they were very good but did not see anyone who appeared to be enjoying the experience. There is a section of modern art we did not realise was in the Vatican and we spent some time enjoying work by many well known artists like Salvador Dali. The tour groups rushed straight past to their next item on the guides agenda. I'm sure there is a lot to gained from an official tour but for us the freedom to enjoy our own priorities at our own pace is paramount. A brilliant place and a must to visit in Rome but think about transport, perhaps catching the metro at the next station if during the rush hour, and I would certainly recommend booking timed entry and to avoid the worst of the crowds make it early.

We had a great trip to the Vatican, St Peter's and Sistine Chapel. The tour was exactly as described on your website. The audioguide tour is good for anyone who is short on time or wants to choose how long to spend in each area. Tickitaly tours don't have to queue. Great for us, as the queue was a couple of hundred people by mid afternoon..!

I always enjoy the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. I am an artist and when I come to Rome every year I have to see Michelangelos ceiling. He is my favourite artist. Thank You

Where do these reviews come from?
About two weeks after you have used your tickets we send an email asking you for your feedback on tickitaly.com and on the individual attractions that you visited. We ask our customers to give us and our tickets a rating out of five stars and to write a short review - all of these reviews come from people that have bought tickets from us.
Why are there more stars awarded than reviews?
Many of our customers opt to award stars rather than write a review.
Why do some reviews have a ? instead of stars?
Some reviewers opt to write a comment but don't enter a star entry. These are sometimes positive and sometimes negative - we include these reviews in the listings after the starred reviews, but we don't include them in the overall ratings.
Where is my review? I can't see anything in the list?
Each review is checked by our staff in order to avoid posting inappropriate content or personal details, and to see if the customer has had a specific problem that needs to be addressed. In most cases these reviews go online with their star rating and any comment that has been made. In the cases that there is an issue that we have to address, such as refunds or specific complaints, we flag the review for response. In those few cases, any star rating is immediately taken into account in our ratings but the actual review is only posted once we have resolved the issue or had an opportunity to respond. Any editorial comment will be clearly highlighted like this: [Tickitaly responds: .....].
Are these reviews real or have you faked them?
All of the reviews and star ratings have come from people that have purchased tickets from us. We are very proud of the service and products that we provide, but obviously we aren't perfect and sometimes things go wrong. Once we have addressed any problems that a customer has had, we will process the original review (although we reserve the right to fix minor typos like ticketitaly).
If a review contains offensive language, abuse or personal insults, we'll publish the stars but omit the text.
