Having tickets allowed us to walk by the very long lines to a very short check in line. Our only issue was that we picked a weekend during a very busy time at the Vatican and the crowds were overwhelming.

Our friend who is Catholic said she would have felt better with a guided tour as being religous she wanted to know what everything was and take in all the history, for myself and the other member of our party we were just happy to see the Sistine chapel and St Peters and say we had been to the Vatican.

Unfortunately, I stopped to talk to some tour agents on my way to the Vatican, who talked me into using the tickets I bought on the site and transfer them to their tour. I got nothing extra, paid more money and wated more time. Don't fall for ths. Use the tickets from this site, and enjoy the Vatican.
[Tickitaly responds: unfortunately all large tourist destinations attract scam-artists and con-men. Sorry to hear you were taken advantage of.]

why queue when you can book so easily!

It was brilliant and definitely worth booking in advance to avoid the queues, the only problem was that my ticket didn't include St Peter's basillica which I wasn't aware of until I arrived at the Vatican.
[Tickitaly responds: as stated online you will almost certainly have to queue for St Peters (although you don't require a ticket to get in) as it is not possible to reserve entrance.]

Absolutely brilliant, although I recommend starting the tour as early as possible, plenty to see and admire, not just a walk by.

Fantiastic, the highlight of our Rome trip! To be able to walk right in and spend 6 hours in the museums, even before visiting St Peter's, was amazing. I would definitely recommend the excellent audio guide, too, as it enabled us to appreciate so much more all the amazing works of art.
