These reviews relate to the various tours of the Colosseum Dungeons that we offer, and have offered in the past. Until the Belvedere top levels were opened in 2017, the dungeon tours were actually provided as a combo tour of both the dungeons and upper levels, hence the references in some reviews to upper levels!

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The process was very easy to follow and everyone was very helpful in directing us where to go to get the passes and then to the meeting areas.

No queues, no fuss easily the quickest and best way to see the Colosseum. You get to go to the areas that most tourist don't get to visit. The Colosseum's own Archaeologists take you on the tour of the levels and are very knowledgeable. The best and only way to truly see the Colosseum. Highly recommended tour in my view worth the money. You only do it once so do it right.

Definitely recommend the dungeons night tour since it is more private and relaxed. On a hot day, the cool night scene is refreshing. The docent was very knowledgeable (Francesca) and it was great to experience the Colosseum during the business of the daytime and the calmness of the night time.

This is one of the best tours we have ever taken. We have visited the Colosseum during the day on previous trips to Rome and the spectacle is truly awesome. However, nothing compares to the same place at night. It is tremendously atmospheric and beautiful. Our guide was very helpful and told us loads that we didn't know beforehand. I would definitely recommend this tour.

We had to get directions once we entered to find the place to pick up our tickets. it was so busy it was a bit confusing to find where to go but fortunately there was a very helpful staff member walking around helping people find their way.

We initially decided to do the basic tour but as we looked through the other more extensive one's on offer we decided to go for the upper & lower level one. It was brilliant & to see close up such a huge piece of history & architecture. The price is well worth it & our guide was exceptional. She gave us together with the roman forum a 3 hour tour. Her knowledge & ease at which she delivered the information & answered questions was impressive & in an extremely friendly manner. To sum up its a must-do tour. Thanks to tickitaly for providing this.

We were very impressed with the tour of the upper and lower areas of the Colosseum. It turned out to one of the highlights of our trip. Our tour guide was excellent, professional and very passionate about history of the Colosseum. You could hear a pin drop as he spoke as the history was both moving and riveting. Thank you!

It was a really good experience - they only thing I think can be improved is the walkies talkies. Many time the reception was not good but if you stayed closed to the guide then it would be fine.

Where do these reviews come from?
About two weeks after you have used your tickets we send an email asking you for your feedback on tickitaly.com and on the individual attractions that you visited. We ask our customers to give us and our tickets a rating out of five stars and to write a short review - all of these reviews come from people that have bought tickets from us.
Why are there more stars awarded than reviews?
Many of our customers opt to award stars rather than write a review.
Why do some reviews have a ? instead of stars?
Some reviewers opt to write a comment but don't enter a star entry. These are sometimes positive and sometimes negative - we include these reviews in the listings after the starred reviews, but we don't include them in the overall ratings.
Where is my review? I can't see anything in the list?
Each review is checked by our staff in order to avoid posting inappropriate content or personal details, and to see if the customer has had a specific problem that needs to be addressed. In most cases these reviews go online with their star rating and any comment that has been made. In the cases that there is an issue that we have to address, such as refunds or specific complaints, we flag the review for response. In those few cases, any star rating is immediately taken into account in our ratings but the actual review is only posted once we have resolved the issue or had an opportunity to respond. Any editorial comment will be clearly highlighted like this: [Tickitaly responds: .....].
Are these reviews real or have you faked them?
All of the reviews and star ratings have come from people that have purchased tickets from us. We are very proud of the service and products that we provide, but obviously we aren't perfect and sometimes things go wrong. Once we have addressed any problems that a customer has had, we will process the original review (although we reserve the right to fix minor typos like ticketitaly).
