A fully escorted English language guided tour of the monuments of Ancient Rome; the tour lasts around three hours and includes entrance to the Roman Colosseum as well as pick-up at your central Rome hotel. The tour runs seven days a week - we'll confirm an exact hotel pickup time when sending you your voucher, but pickups will begin around an hour before the tour is due to start.

The scope of this tour is to demonstrate the might and majesty of the Roman Empire as it survives in modern day Rome. The tour heads off to Piazza Venezia, passing the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier en route to the Capitoline Hill and the Roman Forum and surrounding area (the Curia, the Reggia, the Temple of Vesta, the Arch of Titus and the Arch of Constantine). Next is a visit to the Colosseum (again, entrance ticket is included in the cost of tour and there'll be no queuing, security checks aside) and then on to the Palatine Hill, home of the Caesars. With this tour, you will have the benefit of a fully qualified local tour guide travelling with you at all times. You'll usually be listening in on supplied headsets.
