Guide spoke clearly in English, open to questions and did not rush the group. Explained the significance of the different chambers, the prison cells and the "secret tour" access was quite interesting. Great to have time to ourselves at the end of the tour to walk around the rest of the Doge's Palace - one could spend at least half a day there! Recommended tour.

Secret tour interesting to see the other side of the palace with the history and this ticket lets you into the main palace as well.

The tour guide was very informative but she was kind of mean and strict.

Had problems finding where I needed to present my voucher in order to get the 'I musei di Piazza San Marco' card. I joined 2 queues before I found the right place! Needs clearer signage at the Portat del Frumento.

The tour was and the tour guide were good but the attraction is over-rated as a feature in Venice.

Unfortunately the radios/Walkie talkies did not work very well. A lot of the tour is in narrow places where we had to walk single file. My husband and I ended up toward the back of the line and ended up regularly losing the signal, so we only heard about 70% of our tour. It also happened to two other people who were at the end of the line with us, so it wasn't just our units. They should either get more powerful radios or limit the tour size so that all can hear. And no, we weren't lagging far behind the rest of the group, we were just at the end. When we could hear it, the guide seemed knowledgeable and had a lot of good stories. Plus the secret passageways were fun to see and explore!

Great tour, but we were not told the tour included several floors of steps. This was extremely difficult for several in our group. In fact, my wife could not continue to the attic of the Doge's Palace because there were too many steps.

It is interesting, but I'm not sure we would in retrospect spend the morning learning about medieval torture. Guide was wonderful.

It's quite a maze inside, especially once you get to the prison area. My friend and I got separated at this point and we both took different routes. We ended up in a courtyard but we both had to back track from that point to make sure we hadn't missed anything. (Maybe clearer directional arrows would help?) Would have been nice to have more furniture in some of the rooms.

We really enjoyed our secret itineraries tour. Loved seeing the attic and jail cells! Only disappointment was that, at the end of the tour,I thought we could just go into St Marks but we had to go to the end of the line. It was way too long to get in to see the illumination.

I was super excited about this tour as I had read it was great in Rick Steve's book; however, it was a huge disappointment. We had an "English" speaking tour guide that barely knew English, and she was also very rude. The tour name "secret" is very misleading as well, as it refers only to the "secret" documents that the Doge's right hand man kept safe. As far as "dungeons" well it was a lot of stairs and small rooms. Nothing much dungeon about it. The tour needs to be renamed.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, it was very interesting. The tour guide was wonderful explained everything very and obviously passionate about the history of the Doges Palace. Your emails were self explanatory regarding collection of tickets all went smoothly. We quickly found where we needed to be, the staff in side Doges Palace were very helpful.

Yes, I did enjoy my visit, my only regret was running out of time and not seeing everything I wanted to see.

Where do these reviews come from?
About two weeks after you have used your tickets we send an email asking you for your feedback on tickitaly.com and on the individual attractions that you visited. We ask our customers to give us and our tickets a rating out of five stars and to write a short review - all of these reviews come from people that have bought tickets from us.
Why are there more stars awarded than reviews?
Many of our customers opt to award stars rather than write a review.
Why do some reviews have a ? instead of stars?
Some reviewers opt to write a comment but don't enter a star entry. These are sometimes positive and sometimes negative - we include these reviews in the listings after the starred reviews, but we don't include them in the overall ratings.
Where is my review? I can't see anything in the list?
Each review is checked by our staff in order to avoid posting inappropriate content or personal details, and to see if the customer has had a specific problem that needs to be addressed. In most cases these reviews go online with their star rating and any comment that has been made. In the cases that there is an issue that we have to address, such as refunds or specific complaints, we flag the review for response. In those few cases, any star rating is immediately taken into account in our ratings but the actual review is only posted once we have resolved the issue or had an opportunity to respond. Any editorial comment will be clearly highlighted like this: [Tickitaly responds: .....].
Are these reviews real or have you faked them?
All of the reviews and star ratings have come from people that have purchased tickets from us. We are very proud of the service and products that we provide, but obviously we aren't perfect and sometimes things go wrong. Once we have addressed any problems that a customer has had, we will process the original review (although we reserve the right to fix minor typos like ticketitaly).
If a review contains offensive language, abuse or personal insults, we'll publish the stars but omit the text.
