An interesting piece in the Italian Corriere newspaper on the increase in number of visitors (up by over a quarter) to Milan’s Castello Sforzesco.
This is largely due to ongoing activity to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci, most notably here the restoration of the ‘Salla dell Asse’, the ‘Hall of the Boards’.
An incredible wood-panelled room with a large vaulted ceiling, it is decorated by tree and woodland scenes by Leonardo.
We feature this room in some of our Last Supper guided tours, and this article has some great photography for you to admire.
