Having been in storage for over 10 years, the ‘Madonna della Gatta’ (Madonna of the Cat) by Federico Barocci is once again on show in the ‘sala di Berenice’ of the Palazzo Pitti in Florence.
The work is on show alongside other works by the artist from Urbino, and is part of the ongoing project to place more of a spotlight on the Palazzo Pitti collections, as explained by Eike Schmidt, director of the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
