Originally excavated in 1915, the Schola Armaturarum at Pompeii collapsed in 2010. It has now been restored (the Director at Pompeii states in the video below that the ‘days of things collapsing’ are in the past) and is open once more to visitors (only on Thursdays to begin with).
The video shows some of the vivid frescoes that have been painstakingly restored, as well as a series of urns – amphora – that were found in the ashes.
