An exhibition of paintings, decorations, sculpture, fabrics and jewellery from various churches, museums, monasteries and civic buildings across the earthquake-hit zones of Le Marche.
The exhibition translates, roughly, to ‘Let’s make haste – treasures saved and to be saved’, and given the extensive damage wrought by successive seismic activity, this is most fitting – many of these works were taken from damaged buildings that had housed them since their creation, and many of the buildings are unlikely to be safe until years of restoration has taken place.
