‘Sensational Umbria by Steve McCurry’
Ex Fatebenefratelli, Palazzo della Penna – Perugia
29th March – 5th October 2014
If you’re visiting Umbria this year, why not take in an exhibit of the work of one of the world’s greatest photographers, depicting his travels and experiences in the region?
Beginning on the 29th March, Perugia becomes the home of “Sensational Umbria”, a celebration of the Umbrian territory through the photographs of Steve McCurry, the celebrated winner of numerous World Press Photo awards and the man behind the world-famous “Afghan Girl”.
McCurry’s photos tell the tale of a region steeped in history, culture and emotion, and in values that have clearly deeply influenced him. The exhibit has already been on show in Assisi, Milan, Marseille and New York, passionately promoted by the Region of Umbria and the Town of Perugia.
The photographs are distributed over two venues, the Ex Fatebenefratelli and the museum of Palazzo Penna.
