‘Il Simbolismo in Italia’
Padua (Padova), Palazzo Zabarella
October 1st 2011 – February 12th 2012
‘Symbolism in Italy’ shows more than 80 works, largely domestic but with key European works from the likes of Klimt and Franz von Stuck, all from the incredibly dynamic and vibrant period spanning the move from one century to the next, the 18th and 19th centuries.
This was a time of great change, socially and intellectually, and the pieces on show had a background of a shifting and energetic Europe, a time of new music, philosophy and literature.
The exhibition is closed on Mondays.
