‘Artisti europei a Roma nel 1911’
Rome, Museo Hendrik Christian Andersen
July 9th – October 2nd 2011
An exhibition of works that were bought together for the 1911 International Exhibition of Art, celebrating the then 50 years of Italian unification. Now it’s 150 years, and the works – largely landscapes and studies of the female form – are reunited once more to give a fascinating insight into the moods, fashions and approaches to art in the Europe of the early 20th century.
