A collection of 22 works from the Hermitage in Russia placed alongside contemporary pieces from collections around Lombardy. The ‘Leonardeschi’ of the title refers to followers (and imitators) of Leonardo da Vinci, indeed some of the finest pieces were until quite recently attributed to the master himself.
