How to take part in a guided trip into the classic countryside of Chianti, Tuscany - enjoy food, wine and scenery.
Leaving from central Florence at 2.15 in the afternoon (runs Tuesdays and Thursdays) this tour lasts around 5 and a half hours. You'll enjoy a relaxing excursion into Tuscany and the classic Chianti area, with tastings - an excursion to stimulate your imagination and delight your senses.
First stop, out in the country, will be at a typical Tuscan farmhouse, with a tour of the wine cellar and an explanation of how wine is made. This will be followed by a tasting of notable local wines - Chianti Classico, Chianti Riserva and Tuscan IGT - served with locally produced salami and bruschettas with extra virgin olive oil and aromatic vinegar.
After the tasting it's on to the famous town of Greve - where you'll have an opportunity to explore the town and visit various shops specialising in traditional Tuscan foods and wines.
Then it's back out into the scenic countryside to visit another winery where you'll taste more local wines - Chianti DOCG, Chianti Rosè and 'Supertuscan' wine along with Cinta Senese salami.
The return to Florence will be in the late afternoon.
